It feels very refreshing, to put it in some way, to find someone who thinks in the same way.

I've started my writing journey earlier this year, and Substack was the first place I landed.

I spent a bunch of time writing to no one, and seeing only "get rich following these 3-steps" posts get noticed, frustrated me a lot.

I do agree with you in that Medium is a place where you can still find a community of people focused around quality of ideas and writing, but I do find that you have to make an effort for the algorithm, or whatever it is, not to place you in a hole where everything you see are "How I Earned My First 1k In One Week" posts.
